Christmas 2020 in Beaumont

In a year when we yearn for joy in a particular way, we are looking forward to celebrating Christmas in our parish. We have organised nine Masses to accommodate as many people as we can safely.

Unfortunately, this year, tickets will be required for admission to Mass on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Please do not come to Mass if you have any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19 (e.g. a high temperature, a cough, a loss of taste or smell), have been in close contact with somebody who has COVID-19, or if you are at a heightened risk because of the pandemic. There is no obligation on Catholics to attend Mass at this time.

New Government regulations mean that we have to leave at least one hour between the last person leaving one Mass and the first person arriving for the next. Therefore, we will use two venues for Mass this year – both the church and the parish hall.

As the parish hall allows us to group seats together for family units, we are asking families to book for Mass in the parish hall wherever possible. A minimum of three tickets (max. 10) may be booked for the hall and all bookings made together must be from the same household / social bubble. Between one and five tickets per booking make be reserved for Masses in the church. Furthermore, admission to Mass will begin strictly ten minutes before the scheduled time of the liturgy.

As this year more than ever calls for a great community effort to celebrate Christmas safely, we are asking parishioners to please consider volunteering for stewarding and/or cleaning at the Mass that they attend. If you are able to volunteer, please indicate that when you book the form.

We are asking for your contact details as you book tickets for the Mass – your name, home address, email address and a telephone number. In accordance with the new GDPR, we are asking you to consent to our updating of your record on the Parish’s computer system with these data. This will help us to continue our project to update the parish’s records and will enable us to facilitate contact tracing in the event that we may require to do so.

Lastly, if you are no longer able to attend, please use the link in the email you receive to cancel your reservation.
